Summary

The fate of peculiardom hangs in the balance in this epic conclusion to the Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series。

The last thing Jacob Portman saw before the world went dark was a terrible, familiar face。

Suddenly, he and Noor are back in the place where everything began - his grandfather's house。 Jacob doesn't know how they escaped from V's loop to find themselves in Florida。 But he does know one thing for certain: Caul has returned。

After a narrow getaway from a blood-thirsty hollow, Jacob and Noor reunite with Miss Peregrine and the peculiar children in Devil's Acre。 The Acre is being plagued by desolations - weather fronts of ash and blood and bone - a terrible portent of Caul's amassing army。

Risen from the Library of Souls and more powerful than ever, Caul and his apocalyptic agenda seem unstoppable。 Only one hope remains - deliver Noor to the meeting place of the seven prophesied ones。 If they can decipher its secret location。

What do I do now my favourite book series ever is over????! 😭😭😭

Honestly, I don’t think this book was necessary。 Seems like just another money grab by another hungry author。 I’m getting kinda sick of that。 But it’ll stay on my shelves because they look pretty together。 But I think this series should have ended with book three。

I want to give this five stars。 Really。 It was a wild roller coaster ride and very entertaining。 And I'm very sad the series has ended。 However, the loss of the last star is because this final installment felt a little slapped together。 Quite a few continuity issues, e。g。 a major character is not mentioned at all during a great escape and you're convinced he's done for because there is no possible escape, then he suddenly appears later。 A character leaves to go do something, and then two pages l I want to give this five stars。 Really。 It was a wild roller coaster ride and very entertaining。 And I'm very sad the series has ended。 However, the loss of the last star is because this final installment felt a little slapped together。 Quite a few continuity issues, e。g。 a major character is not mentioned at all during a great escape and you're convinced he's done for because there is no possible escape, then he suddenly appears later。 A character leaves to go do something, and then two pages later he's with Jacob like he never left。 New characters appear who seem to have significance in the storyline and new plot lines develop and then they vanish, with no closure or explanation of what happened to them。 So, overall, a satisfying read but I really wish the editors had taken a little extra time to take this from good to amazing。 。。。more

I wish this second trilogy hadn’t been written。 Out of the three books in the second trilogy though it was the best。 It was very inconsistent and the ending kinda ruined the series for me so there’s that。 The photos in the second trilogy didn’t seem like they belonged and felt shoehorned in because the other books had them。 This one was the worst in that regard。 The villain was boring。 The conflict dull。 It was something of a chore to finish this book。 I felt obligated since I had read all of th I wish this second trilogy hadn’t been written。 Out of the three books in the second trilogy though it was the best。 It was very inconsistent and the ending kinda ruined the series for me so there’s that。 The photos in the second trilogy didn’t seem like they belonged and felt shoehorned in because the other books had them。 This one was the worst in that regard。 The villain was boring。 The conflict dull。 It was something of a chore to finish this book。 I felt obligated since I had read all of the others。 And at least it was better than book #4 and book #5。 If you haven’t read any of the second trilogy, stop! They ruined the original series, which was much better。 These books were more disappointing than the film。 。。。more

I have loved this series and its characters right up through the previous novel and then this。 Despair, gloom, badish good guys, goodish bad guys。 As I mentioned in an earlier update the trope where evil is all powerful, huge, oppressive, unstoppable and the good guys are weak, confused relying on that half full thimble of hope to get them through。It went too easy, yeah it was horrible and devastating but there was an all too sudden deus ex machina on more than one front that solved the riddles I have loved this series and its characters right up through the previous novel and then this。 Despair, gloom, badish good guys, goodish bad guys。 As I mentioned in an earlier update the trope where evil is all powerful, huge, oppressive, unstoppable and the good guys are weak, confused relying on that half full thimble of hope to get them through。It went too easy, yeah it was horrible and devastating but there was an all too sudden deus ex machina on more than one front that solved the riddles and saved the day。 This was not how I expected the series to end。 After numerous fantastic novels, this in some ways let me down。 。。。more

This book may or may not end with happily ever after (I'll let you find out for yourself) but the way things end just make me happy。 Fitting conclusion。 This book may or may not end with happily ever after (I'll let you find out for yourself) but the way things end just make me happy。 Fitting conclusion。 。。。more

2。5。 A lot of action scenes with monsters chasing children and children chasing monsters。 No other character development or much of a plot otherwise。 By box six, the peculiar children have lost their uniqueness and quirkiness and just seemed like kids with monsters。

What a fantastic book! It's rare to find a book (or series) that grips my attention like Miss Peregrine's has。 I couldn't put it down for long。 It makes me sad to be finished with it but the ending left me feeling warm and fuzzy。 What a fantastic book! The final book in the series。 Overall, I really enjoyed the series - I really like the characters, and it's very unique how the author ties the storyline to the random photos that he finds。 The content of the series is a little dark for me, but I did enjoy getting to enter the peculiar world through Jacob's eyes。Main Characters: Jacob, Emma, Noor, Miss Peregrine, Olive, Enoch, Bronwyn, Horace, Millard, Claire, Howard, Fiona, Addison, V, Miss Avocet, Caul, Murnau The final book in the series。 Overall, I really enjoyed the series - I really like the characters, and it's very unique how the author ties the storyline to the random photos that he finds。 The content of the series is a little dark for me, but I did enjoy getting to enter the peculiar world through Jacob's eyes。Main Characters: Jacob, Emma, Noor, Miss Peregrine, Olive, Enoch, Bronwyn, Horace, Millard, Claire, Howard, Fiona, Addison, V, Miss Avocet, Caul, Murnau 。。。more

Really love these books - the fantasy and imagery transports me to the world of the peculiar。 However, it’s becoming increasingly difficult remembering/keeping track of storylines and characters。 This one also dragged a bit, so it’s 3 stars instead of 4 for book 6。

Brittany

Wonderful conclusion to the series。 I may have teared up at the end。

Miss Peregrine has been my home for so long and haven’t realized I have been homesick。 This book was so so wonderful。 It felt so good to be here again and the last 50 pages were mind blowing。 And the end was unexpected and it warmed my heart。 Loved it。

Will there be more? What can happen next? I will miss them if the adventures are over, but if not, I will be at their side。 Jacob and the Peculiars。 Great band name。 As always I loved the photos。

Haven't read much at all in the last couple of months so that's why it's taken me forever to read and finish。EXCELLENT final "chapter" to this amazing series! Ransom Riggs is one phenomenal author with a phenomenal imagination!! I've loved entering the world of Peculiardom since day one!! Excellent series for anyone of any age! Most of the book was setting up for the big battle I was hoping for more action between the start and end。。。 But I LOVED the ending the last chapter was golden。 This was a great ending to a great story。

I liked the book overall, but there were a lot of hiccups that kept me from loving it。 Jacobs character is very by the numbers and never really progressed beyond wanting to be a martyr and needing to be the hero at all times。 It also rubbed me the wrong way how he describes the struggles the peculiars will face at the hands of normal kind, and how he will face these struggles even though his peculiarity is easily hidden and at this point basically obsolete。 He has nothing to fear really, and yet I liked the book overall, but there were a lot of hiccups that kept me from loving it。 Jacobs character is very by the numbers and never really progressed beyond wanting to be a martyr and needing to be the hero at all times。 It also rubbed me the wrong way how he describes the struggles the peculiars will face at the hands of normal kind, and how he will face these struggles even though his peculiarity is easily hidden and at this point basically obsolete。 He has nothing to fear really, and yet he acts like he will。 I also didn’t like how the story kept repeating throughout。 There was a cycle of sneaking off, going into a loop, something happens and then everyone returns to devils acre until the next time。 Overall definitely not the greatest book in the series, that goes to the first three books for me, but still a good read。 。。。more
